Motorized Robots (with an s) appears to be a distribution exclusively tailored to the BHS (British Home Stores) department stores.
Historically BHS entered distributions deals with companies such as Corgi to release their die cast vehicle toys under BHS branding. While the toys themselves retained the original manufacturing stamps, the packaging only shows the BHS brand. BHS named their toy car line 'BHS Wheels' and its related logo went through a number of changes from the early to mid 80s. The BHS Wheels die cast cars were largely a small order run and it's not a stretch presume the MC Toy robots would also have been a comparatively small order. This thought is reinforced by the scarcity of them seen on card today.
While BHS had stores both in the United Kingdom and internationally, there's so far no confirmation BHS Wheels Motorized Robots were sold outside of the UK.
Alt/vehicle mode vs. robot mode card blisters? The reason MC Toy did this on a number of lines is unclear. There are however some established motivations for different toy packaging. The more prominent is where the toy will be retailed and in what section of the store. Toys sold in service stations/gas stations are traditionally vehicle focused. In a department store toy section, vehicle toys will be racked in one location while action figures are in another. In this instance it's likely BHS wanted to rack them with the other BHS Wheels die cast cars and so went for that blister format.
All include both die cast metal and plastic components as well as the synonymous pull-back motors
See toy line main index and history for further details and toy heights.
