'A motorized robot disguised as a vehicle.'
This is not a final page. Due to the quantity of work required, this is a placeholder to at least provide some reference.
This Mega Moto-Bot line is a re-release of the 80s Mega Moto-Bot figures previously in part distributed in the United States by Intex under the same title and Grand Toys in Canada as Dynabot; see other pages this section.
The line was first re-issued by MC Toy and then again by the company Maisto they incorporated. Exact dates for the distributions are unconfirmed and related details are below.
There's unfortunately little new about this distribution other than the assortment make up and is on the cardbacks. The MC Toy bilingual cards were sold in Canada while the cards featuring five languages were sold in both Canada and Europe. The Maisto cards appear to be exclusive to Europe via French importer; details below.
It's currently unclear why the Container Truck is packed in vehicle mode. It also has different manufacturer stamping to the others. Examples to suggest the rest of the line was also offered in this format have yet to be sighted. It's possible this was done purely to enable all figures to be packed in one box for distribution with the container truck inverted and face to face with another figure to economise space.
The tag line on the MC Toy cards was updated for the Maisto run from, 'A motorized robot disguised as a vehicle' to the less English clunky, 'Motorized robots disguised as vehicles'.
All include both die cast metal and plastic components as well as the synonymous pull-back motors
See toy line main index and history for further details and toy heights.

* Release Date details on these releases, the dates of release and extent of distribution is largely unconfirmed. 1990 was a transitional period for MC Toy while they incorporated the existing company Maisto. By 1996 the MC Toy logo had been replaced on cardbacks with Maisto's. For the MC Toy Mega Moto-Bots, the card art and comparison to other releases by MC Toy at the time likely places them late 80s'. The Maisto line is more of a mystery. Based on other Maisto releases of these MC Toy figures, the date would be around 1996/1997. Unfortunately some confusion is added by the sticker on the rear of the cards relating to a French import company named Concept Masters International. That business doesn't appear to have been registered until 2015. Maisto started phasing out their gold logo in the late 2000s/early 2010s, so possibly Concept Masters imported some old stock and these examples aren't indicative of the true Maisto Mega Moto-Bot run date. That said, at time of writing (2026), Maisto is still in business and could have re-issued a batch of these toys using the original card art or as above, moved some long dead stock. A release date and examples without this sticker are yet to be found. Footnote: Maisto do still occasionally use the gold logo on a select few Collector/Special Editions.
Box Sets were released for some of the articulated trucks and All-Terrain Trekker models in the MC Toy run. The truck set contain the Fire Truck and Container Truck figures along with the Fire Truck ladder, Crane Truck boom arm and the Tanker Truck's back. Only this this set of trucks has been sighted so far and the intent seems to be for the parts to be mix-n-matched vs. their originally intended release. The white Liqui-Trans back and Crane Truck boom will attach to either supplied figure. Box sets for the Maisto release have not yet been sighted.
