This is not a final page. Due to the quantity of work required, this is a placeholder to at least provide some reference.

NOTE: unless you're looking specifically for the MC Toy distribution, check out the DynaBot Grand Toys page in this section for a lot more photos and details.

This distribution of DynaBot by MC Toy is, at time of writing (2025) something of a mystery.

While MC Toy were the original creator and distributor of what most loosely call Moto-Bots, the brunt of the high volume DynaBot named line of those same figures was in Canada. That was conducted with the cardbacks showing Canadian regional distributor Grand Toys with no mention of MC Toy. MC Toy did release the same figures to the United States, however again, most are familiar with the Moto-Bot line name and the cards showing Intex or Zee Toys, not MC Toy.

The below example shows early version card art and what could potentially have been a complete assortment of two figures. Later versions of this card type added extra figures as the line developed, so it's quite possible at this point there were only two figures in the line.

So far very little is known about this particular distribution, however some speculation can be made based on surrounding information and other like toy companies behaviour at the time. It's quite possible this distribution was a trial in the United Sates with a limited release run that wasn't taken very far. Similar card art design was distributed in other countries, however they show a far more matured figure assortment. MC Toy may have tried to make inroads into the US with this product, found it too difficult or too expensive and so move to a distribution agreement with Intex / Zee Toys. Around the same time MC Toy distributed a very similar, early selection of figures via New York based company STRACO, in very similar fashion as Loco-Robot, Truck-Robot and Truck Robots; see separate page this site.

Historically, Japanese company Bandai experienced a similar stalled distribution when first attempting to market their Machine Robo Series figures in the United States. Released on cardbacks as 'Machine Men' (Robot Machine Men in Canada), they were unable to gain market interest. Bandai then engaged Tonka who better knew the US market and Gobots were born.

Alt/vehicle mode vs. robot mode card blisters? The reason MC Toy did this on a number of lines is unclear. There are however some established motivations for different toy packaging. The more prominent is where the toy will be retailed and in what section of the store. Toys sold in service stations/gas stations are traditionally vehicle focused. In a department store toy section, vehicle toys will be racked in one location while action figures are in another. In the very early days of mode changing robot toys, it's likely alt mode blisters would have seemed the safer option for a distributor with those being something retailers would understand how to sell.

All include both die cast metal and plastic components as well as the synonymous pull-back motors
