DynaBot - Agglo

'Pull Back N' Go Action'

This is not a final page. Due to the quantity of work required, this is a placeholder to at least provide some reference.

NOTE: unless you're looking specifically for the Agglo distribution, check out the DynaBot Grand Toys page in this section for a lot more photos and details.

This distribution of Dynabot by Agglo is, at time of writing (2025) something of a mystery.

Agglo was a Hong Kong based toy supplier that operated from 1969 to 2022. The complete removal of the MC Toy logo (or other company logo) for a regional distribution is traditionally done due to local trade restrictions. It can also occur if a brand has a solid, trusted name in that area. LJN distributing Switch Bots to Italy under Al-Es and to the UK as CGL for example.

While not much is known yet about this distribution, the cardbacks match early MC Toy releases and could have been an initial, short release that pre-date MC Toy's deal with Intex; see Intex Moto-Bot page this section. This is yet to be confirmed.

Alt/vehicle mode vs. robot mode cards? MC Toy also did this for their Motorized Robot distribution (see other page this section) and the reason is unclear. There are however some established motivations for different toy packaging. The more prominent is where the toy will be retailed and in what section of the store. Toys sold in service stations/gas stations are traditionally vehicle focused. In a department store toy section, vehicle toys will be racked in one location while action figures are in another. Offering both formats would allow retailers some flexible racking and stocking options and could appeal to stores such as gas stations that may be less likely to stock a robot toy.

All include both die cast metal and plastic components as well as the synonymous pull-back motors

See toy line main index and history for further details and toy heights.

Release Date at time of writing (2025), the range, date of release and colour schemes beyond the example below are not known. Based on the style of cardback vs. other distributions it was likely retailed late 1983 / early to mid 1984.
