Content Co-Collected and Captured with Screwhead
Spectra Star Kites created a small selection of items for the Tonka Gobots toy line.
As their company name suggests, they produced at least two kites and a windsock. The delta wing kite and windsock feature multiple Gobots characters while the 'Figure Kite' is shaped around Cy-Kill's body shape when standing. A matching Leader-1 Figure Kite has yet to be sighted.
Collectors Note Some of the plastic used to create these kites can turn brittle with age and environmental conditions. Even removing them from the packaging bag can result in them crumbling. Many examples are perfectly intact, however a good inspection is worthwhile before opening. Unfortunately the Figure Kite example below was unable to be removed from the packaging.
Packaging Image Discrepancy The image shown on the Windsock's card is of a paper or card windsock, not the vinyl production product. While it could be a prototype or otherwise mock-up, it's also possible the coloured, semitransparent plastic was likely difficult to photograph (as we found) and doubly so as the aim was to overly is on a flat background without the photographed background showing through. This version provided a bright, easy to work with product example for the photo.
