'Loaded with Action Features!' - Marchon
Tank Commander is both the least complex and most intestring design wise. It has no traditional arms, unless you count the single, side mounted 'laser gun'. The absense of a limb on the other side makes this the only asymetrical Mysterian and oddly adds something to the funcional, roboty quality they seemed to be going for.
While Tank Commander is the only Mysterian without a removable accessory, its rotating waist, protruding weapons and atypical design goes a long way to add play value. It's also far more stable than the legged Mysterians and honestly, driving it around the desk while rotating the top half tank-like is surprisngly satisfying. I also grew up with classic Daleks so there could be some bias
here.

Mysterians US/CA/AU Marchon 1984
Prototypes While there would have been multiple prototypes, one can be seen in the photographs on the front of the blister card sporting pink eyes vs. the yellow used for the production version. This is also likely the prototype used by the artist as reference for the card artwork that also has pink eyes.
As with many of what seem to be minor design changes post card art having been finalised, the change from pink to yellow likely happened very close to the toy moving to production.
