Changeable Robots
Hot Stuff was created by REMCO for the Zybots toy line and released under the title, 'Zybots Changeable Robots'.
This model was created from scratch, not initially prototyped from Gobots parts and was only released on the new red and yellow themed cardback featuring illustrated character art.
The character illustration for Hot Stuff shows the figure backwards. The pattern on the back of the figure's head does look like a simple face and the underside uncharacteristically has colourful stickers. Even the sculpted thumbs are shown on the underside of the back turned hands creating suspicion the artist was working from a poorly taken photograph rather than a model in hand.
The error was carried on to the NEW Changeable Robots, 'Flame Fighter' cardback art that was likely traced for the yellow recoloured re-released figure. Both figures were mounted correctly in the blister.
Hot Stuff has two clear variants between the Macau and China stamped figures.
See main Zybots and Bibots index page for more details.
