Saberstone was created by Bandai and distributed as part of the Tonka Gobots in the US and Bandai's Robo Machine line in Europe.
Gobots Packaging 'Evil Rock Warrior' - Saberstone did not have a character bio card.
Robo Machine Packaging (shared by all Series 1 and 2 figures and Saberstone and Spearhead) 'Rock Life has evolved upon the planet 'Quartex' in the form of rock "beings", each with their own unique abilities. Conflict exists between the forces of good and evil ROCK LORDS. But just like GOBOTS, good does not always prevail, sometime the evil side wins!'
Saberstone did not receive a Japanese or Australian release. Had Saberstone been issued in Australia it's reasonable to presume the locale specific spelling, 'Sabrestone' would have been used to match the European release.

Character Details Sabrestone / Sabrestone was not distributed with a character biocard/filecard on the packaging.
The prototype shows paint and sculpt variations. The head pop-up release button is not present, the sabers lack the pull out tab and are inserted backwards to the production release. There are additional ribbed details on the side of the torso.
