Gutsrock - Ganseki Chōjin - 'Infinitely gentle with superhuman strength'
Granite's prototype name was possibly 'Bolder' (without the 'u'), or their names were swapped by mistake on an early promotional photo.
The only variations between the Machine Robo Series version and all other releases regarding figure colours are the upper leg, face, and eye paint. Variation in body plastic colour in the examples here is purely photographic. Weapon colour is also the same as the red US/AU release.
Gobots Packaging 'A happy-go-lucky rock with a ready laugh, Granite is truly a "gentle giant". But put him in the thick of the fight and he's one of the most fearsome combatants on the battlefield. Despite its ordinary appearance, the T-Gun's shiny bullets will pierce anything and that's enough to send any evil rock running for cover!'
Japanese Packaging Practical Translation 'Even with tremendous superhuman strength he has a gentle mind and a bright personality. He has a great love of nature and animals. He has a high-speed cutting motion as well as a special technique ultra sonic voice that shatters the enemy to pieces.'
Robo Machine Packaging (shared by all Series 1 and 2 figures and Saberstone and Spearhead) 'Rock Life has evolved upon the planet 'Quartex' in the form of rock "beings", each with their own unique abilities. Conflict exists between the forces of good and evil ROCK LORDS. But just like GOBOTS, good does not always prevail, sometime the evil side wins!'
See main Rock Lords index page for more general details.
