Specterite is completely snap-together with no metal screws, rivets or pins. The model itself is quite good, however cost cuts in manufacturing have clearly been made.
While it does make a decent robot, the gun forearms are easily pulled off the figure by accident and the ankle joints can struggle to support the toy, even fresh off the card. On the up side, Specterite being able to look out the front windshield when inside the car shell is a nice touch.
Specterite also has two moveable, chromed plates that can be pulled out and away from the lower legs. They serve no play purpose in either form and don't need to be moved to change modes. In the bio card photo and character art on the blister card's front both show the right leg with the plate extended.
Condition: All examples are freshly removed from card. Diecast and chrome damage are the result of sub-par manufacturing and packing processes.
