7401 'Just pull it back and lit it go' - Dah Yang
Convertible Jeep is based on a Ford M151 Military Utility Tactical Truck (MUTT). Both the mode change steps and robot mode are both not dissimilar to G1 Transformer's Hound; albeit simplified and modified to accomdate the motor.
Yes! There's a pullback, wind-up motor inside the engine area that does a capable job of zooming the Jeep across the floor.
As with likely all the Kinsman releases, it's very probable Dah Yang didn't design the toy themselves. The front of box art shows the robot holding a different weapon to the turret mounted vehicle accessory. The rear of box image shows the turret gun as the handheld weapon. This could indicate a change late in production to reduce costs. The front right quarter panel has a hole that can accommodate the mounted weapon in either jeep or robot mode. This feature isn't mentioned anywhere on the box and could also hint that the toy was something released previous to Dah Yang or if not released, had been originally created for a different distributor.
See Kinsman main index for further details.
