Cessna Robo MR-31 / MRJ-8
This model was originally designed in Japan by Bandai and released for their Machine Robo Series line Cessna Robo. By this time Tonka's successful rebranding to 'Gobots' and US distribution saw the now more established name 'Water Walk' applied and adopted for Robo Machine in Europe* and the Australian Machine Men release; predominantly to benefit from the Challenge of the Gobots cartoon. Multilingual Robo Machine cardbacks display both Cessna and Water-Walk (with a hyphen) in the name section. Machine Men originally released as Cessna Man were reissued as Water Walk.
Further details are below, on the Series 1 Index and for more in-depth reading see the Toy Line History page.

** These have a very poor build quality, even for bootlegs. The examples shown were taken new out of the blister just before photographing and had missing paint on the metal parts, poor paint application, damaged stickers, bent legs and are extremely fragile in the hips. It's unconfirmed whether all like releases in this style are as poorly made. The other PEPSI promotion figures (Converta-a-Jeep/Convert-a-Racer) shown above (Geeper Creeper / Slicks) had a much greater build quality.
*** This Polyfect Toys bootleg does change modes but the feet do not rotate and the tail cannot be raised to the same position as the original mould. This release will not stand unassisted; regardless of how the photos appear. There is another Polyfect release with the same colour scheme and different cardback that was cast in plane mode and cannot be changed into robot form.
