Machine Robo Series MR-53 / MRJ-3
Designed in Japan by Bandai and released for their Machine Robo Series line as Apollo Robo the model was not picked up by Tonka when they took over distribution in the US under the rebranded title Gobots.
Apollo Robo was the final in-store distributed Machine Robo (600) Series model released bringing the line to a close.
This model was also the final European Robo Machine figure released. As Apollo Robo was not given a Gobots character name the Machine Robo Series name was adopted with multilingual blister cards displaying both Rocket and Apollo in the name section.
Apollo Robo was not added to the Australian Machine Men selection.
