'Go from Motorized Vehicle to Robot at the touch of a button!'
Designed and created in the US for the Gobots toy line the Boomers Blast and Rumble are 100% Tonka products vs. the brunt of Gobots toys originally designed by Bandai for their Machine Robo Series.
The Boomers are in keeping with the Gobots mode changing theme and can convert into either an all terrain, six wheeled land vehicle or an... all terrain... six wheeled, land vehicle... robot.
Limited robot mode aside, if Tonka are good at one thing it's making pretty good vehicles and the battery powered Boomers trundle along very well over fairly challenging surfaces.
At the press of a button the robot mode is revealed and a another press releases a Message Ball. The light, hard plastic Message Ball can be split down the middle allowing kids to pen a nasty note, cram it inside and have the Boomer launch the ball at the other kid's army.
In all honestly, any kid who didn't just use the ball as a projectile was doing the toy designer(s) proud. Boomers require two C-Sized batteries to operate and come with one message ball.
