Offered only as a competition prize for the Machine Men toyline in Australia the gold Baron von Joy technically didn't carry the Gobots character name at the time of the offer.
Super Gobots and Super Machine Men were still in the early marketing stage and the Machine Men line had only just started adopting US Gobots character names and replacing the existing Bandai figure titles.
When the competition was run Baron von Joy was still simply an unnamed gold Porsche robot. The comic this competition was promoted in did show the character but his name is not mentioned.
