'Colors Appear Like Magic'
Popular in the 80s, 'Paint with Water' and like themed books were a great way for kids to experience painting without all the mess. Each image was preloaded with watercolour pigments and when a wet brush was applied the dried paint immediately dissolved so you could push it around and paint with whatever mopped up into the brush. Rinsing your brush between sections was required unless you wanted to get tricky and blend colours.
A painted example is included at the end of this page. If this was your childhood book, the whole world can now enjoy your art!
