Maladroids
Originally designed by Takatoku in Japan for their Super Dimension Fortress Macross line and sold as the 'SDF-1S', the model was later licensed to MARK who in turn released it to the West via Select. The Convertors distribution saw it renamed 'Zardak'*
* NOTE: the Maladroids first release Orgroid model and the black and the VF-1S model below were both sold on cardbacks with the name, 'Zardak'.
Presumed to be an error, the diagonal top half of the card is identical in both instances with the lower half changed giving some insight into how the marketing division composited the card graphics.
See main Convertors index page for more details.

Convertors Maladroids US/CA/AU Select 1984
NOTE: there is a slight variation in Zardak's mode change compared to Zark. The forearm undersides need to face up in gerwalk and fighter mode due to the armament on the forearm tops.
Zardak's weapon is mid-blue while those sold with the other Convertors Valkyrie models are black.
This colour scheme is unique to the Convertors line and the model was not released in Europe for MARK's Robot Changers, mostly parallel distribution.
