Mini Motorized Maladroids
Originally designed and released by Takatoku in Japan as a tie in with their Super Dimensional Fortress Macross lines, the model is a Super Deformed (SD) version of a, 'VF-1S Valkyrie Miria Type'. See Mini Motorized Maladroids Meeshak page for example photos.
It's unclear whether MARK acquired the moulds and license prior to Takatoku closing down or as a result of them ceasing business. MARK released the model to the West via Select seeing this version renamed, 'Volcan' for the Convertors distribution.
Examples can be found stamped simply, 'Japan' on the motor cover with others showing the Takatoku stamping. This suggests it's likely MARK also acquired unsold Takatoku stock.
The Mini Motorized Maladroids have a pull-back, wind-up motor gimmick to drive them forward in jet mode.
See index page for more details.
