Nofka - Convertors

Space Battle Rocket - Robot Changers

Originally designed by Takatoku in Japan for their Super Dimension Fortress Macross line and sold as the 'SDF-1', the model was later licensed to the Japanese company MARK.

MARK in turn distributed this figure via Select in the United States, Canada and Australia (and likely other regions) as the Convertors Maladroid, 'Nofka'*. MARK also released Nofka for their Robot Changers line sold in Europe renamed to 'Space Battle Rocket'.

* NOTE: the SDF-1 model and the black and purple Orgroid (Zardak release 2) were both sold on cardbacks with the name, 'Nofka'; see Zardak page in this section.

Presumed to be an error, the diagonal top half of the card is identical in both instances with the lower half changed giving some insight into how the marketing division composited the card graphics.

See main Convertors index page for more details.
