Flexibot

Originally designed by MARK in Japan for their Battle Blocker line and sold as 'Big Foot Robo', MARK also released the model to the West via Select seeing it renamed, 'High Rider' for Convertors.

The Flexibot range is divided into Defenders and Malagons. The cardback bio describes Malagons as Maladroids that masquerade as Defender Flexibots; Maladroids being the main protagonists in the Convertors line.

Six of the eight Flexibots were later re-released in Japan by the Japanese company JAM as Candy Toys; toys packaged with a piece of candy or gum. While previous versions were released in a mix of two colours, the JAM candy toys were sold in one colour with multiple colours available per model. They were sold under the title, 'Blockman Fighter' then later, 'Transformation Block Robo'. The sweet is a compressed, flavoured cornstarch Ramune candy.

JAM released the models in three waves and under two names:

1: Blockman Fighter: Block 4WD, Helicopter, Jeep and Tank
2: Blockman Fighter: Block Buggy, Fire Bird, Helicopter, Jeep and Tank
2: Transformation Block Robo: Block 4WD, Buggy, Fire Bird, Helicopter, Jeep and Tank

At this time a connection between MARK and JAM has not been established, nor has how JAM acquired the Battle Blocker moulds. It's also unclear why JAM did not include two of the models in the assortments.

All MARK, Select and JAM releases are stamped Select 1985 Made in Japan.

An inverted colour scheme Flexibot with yellow swapped for blue and visa versa was also released. It's currently unknown which colour scheme(s) the Battle Blocker version was released in.
