Space Sports Car - Robot Changers
Originally designed by Takatoku in Japan for their Super High Speed Galvion line and named 'Excalibur', the company ended operation before production began.
The license and moulds were acquired by MARK seeing all four figures released in boxes to the Japanese market. They were sold under the new banner 'Super Robo Car' and this figure was given the number 4 and renamed, 'D.A. Tona'.
Supplied by MARK this figure was distributed at the same time to the United States, Canada and Australia (and likely other regions) via the company Select as the Convertors Super Defender also called D.A. Tona.
MARK also released D.A. Tona for their Robot Changers line sold in Europe renamed to, 'Space Sports Car'.
