Slot Machine - Robot Changers
The New Spies were distributed to the West by Japanese company MARK via Select. This saw the slot machine (one armed bandit) figure released for the Convertors distribution as, 'Bandit'.
At this time the origins of the New Spies models is unclear. It's not known whether they were designed by MARK or acquired then on-sold; as was common practice for MARK.
MARK released this figure for their 'Game Man' line in Japan as Slot Man, while in Europe they renamed it to simply Slot Machine for Robot Changers.
The same toys, often with minor variation (eye colour, etc.) have been heavily bootlegged and released worldwide. All genuine figures show a Select or MARK stamp.
See main Convertors & Robot Changers index page for more details.
