CG-07 Machine Robo Change & Glow
Character Bio Japanese Practical Translation: 'Transforms into an armored car. He is the captain of a like armored unit and even in difficult times raises spirits, cheering up his companions. His Special Ability is, 'Barrier Tackle' and it absorbs energy from the air into the yellow signal lights to put a barrier (force field) around his body when delivering a blow. Maximum Power: 10,000 PS Maximum Speed: 200 km/h.'
The details in this character bio were drawn from various marketing sources and combined. Translation is as faithful to the original meaning as possible.
Japanese Instructions Sheet Bio Practical Translation: 'Captain of the Armored unit with excellent fighting skills. He boost morale for his companions no matter how hard things become. He has a very courageous personality and always takes the lead fighting enemies.
Armored Troops - A combat team united with strong camaraderie. All of them are armored with CG Metal, so any attack will be repelled. In fact, Armored members are the alter ego of Armor CG and when they all meet in one, they become Armor CG with invincible power.'
The intention of the last line is a little unclear. Marketing shows multiple Armor CG vehicles in the same image and only one robot version. There's no indication if (for his story) the vehicles combine in a traditional sense or whether they drive to a single point, there's a blinding flash and out walks Armor CG in robot mode. There doesn't seem to be any indication of smaller robot versions uncombined. There's no indication how many Troops there are in the unit, if more than two are required to form Armor CG's robot mode or if more Troops are available to combine means that Armor CG is stronger/bigger.
Armor CG along with most of the later released figures does not contain any diecast metal in its construction.
It was also not featured in the TV advertisement, nor was it distributed in Europe as part of Bandai's Robo Machines line; as the first five were.
